Who we are

Horizons Forge is a small but ambitious indie game studio focused on building immersive, emotionally charged, and mechanically innovative experiences. We believe games should do more than entertain — they should surprise, challenge, and stay with you long after you’ve put down the controller.

Whether we’re crafting tense multiplayer showdowns or atmospheric narrative worlds, we aim to blur the line between gameplay and storytelling, giving players room to explore, experiment, and create unforgettable moments.

Founded by passionate developers, designers, and storytellers, Horizons Forge is driven by a love for genre-bending ideas and a respect for the player’s time, curiosity, and imagination.

We don’t follow trends — we forge new ones.

What We’re Working On

  • Untitled Prop Game (in development)
A fast-paced, asymmetrical multiplayer horror game where nothing is what it seems. Morph into props. Outsmart the Hunter. Escape… or be found. (Now in alpha — Steam only)

  • ShroudFall (in concepting)
A dark, sci-fi horror experience set in the cold expanse of space — where survival is temporary, and the silence is never empty.

Our Vision

  • 🎮 Player-first game design

  • 🛠 Indie-built, AAA mindset

  • 🌐 Community-led development

  • 🚀 Big ambition, grounded execution

👤 About the Founder

Cody Hughes is the founder of Horizons Forge, an independent game studio built on passion, persistence, and the belief that immersive storytelling belongs in every genre — even multiplayer chaos.

With a background in tech, creative writing, and visual design, Cody blends worldbuilding with player-focused systems to craft experiences that feel fresh, bold, and emotionally grounded. He’s the lead designer behind Untitled Prop Game and the visionary behind ShroudFall, a haunting sci-fi franchise currently in development.

Cody created Horizons Forge as more than just a studio — it’s a creative platform where ambitious, genre-defying ideas can grow without compromise. From concept to final polish, he leads game design, lore, branding, and studio direction, keeping every project rooted in one guiding principle: make it matter to the player.

“I don’t just want to make fun games — I want to create moments. The kind that feel like an event. Like when Halo 2 dropped and it felt like the whole country stopped to play. That’s what I want for every project we build — something unforgettable, something that brings people together.”

When he’s not building universes, you’ll find him writing, experimenting in Unreal Engine, and dreaming up new ways to blend horror, strategy, and storytelling into unforgettable player experiences.
